AMI Announces Tour of Meat Processing Facility at the 2013 International Meat Expo

September 28, 2012 – The American Meat
Institute has announced a new addition to this
year’s 2013 AMI International Meat Expo
schedule. As part of the International
Production and Processing Expo, attendees will
be able to register for a tour of a meat
processing facility and learn from first-hand
experience at Birchwood Foods in Norcross,
Georgia.
Attendees will
get an up close look at food safety processes
and worker safety initiatives through a
comprehensive tour of the meat processing
plant. A question and answer session
with plant staff exclusive for attendees will
follow the tour. Limited space is
available to processor attendees that are 18
years or older.
The 2013 IPPE,
one of the world's largest poultry, feed, and
meat industry events, will be held from January
29-31, 2013 at the Georgia World Congress
Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The Birchwood Foods
tour will take place on Friday, February
1.
The
registration fee is $75 per
attendee.
