| Biography: |
Brandon Beshears is senior director of legislative affairs at the American Meat Institute. Previously, Beshears served as a Professional Staff Member for the United States Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry where he was responsible for a diverse portfolio of issues including livestock, dairy, poultry, aquaculture, marketing orders and specialty crops. Prior to joining the Committee staff, Beshears served as Confidential Assistant for Marketing and Regulatory Programs within the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Beshears began his career in Washington as a legislative assistant at the National Rifle Association - Institute for Legislative Action. Beshears earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Westminster College and his master’s degree in International Affairs from Georgia Tech. |
