Worker Safety, Human Resources and the Environment

April 9, 2014 through April 10, 2014
Westin Crown Center
Kansas City, MO

With nearly half a million people working in the meat and poultry industry, worker safety, health and human resource issues are vitally important to the success of our businesses. A growing interest in environmental issues means many industry professionals may also find that their duties have been expanded to include worker safety, human resources and the environment.

Meat and poultry industry workplaces continue to pose unique challenges for worker safety, human resources and environmental professionals. The industry faces an aging workforce and climbing healthcare costs, as well as difficulty finding and retaining an adequate number of employees. Meanwhile, government initiatives related to worker safety and personnel management require companies to stay abreast of complex, technical, regulatory and legal issues.

Environmental issues continue to garner increased attention, with government and consumer focus on sustainability and environmental impact. Come learn how the industry is dealing with key environmental issues, including: resource conservation, greenhouse gas emissions and waste management.

Conference sessions will focus on critical topics that address the needs professionals working in the Worker Safety, Human Resources and Environment arena.

Join us in Kansas City to learn more about these important issues!
