Who We Are

The National Meat Canners Association was founded in 1923 to promote the welfare of the sterile processed meat industry in the United States. Today more than thirty-five companies, whose primary or secondary businesses lie in sterile processed meat products, comprise the association's membership. The members include companies of all sizes, from regional producers to large multi-plant operations.

    (e.g. cans, glass, retort pouch, etc.);

  • to inform the trade and public of the advantages of processed meat product usage;
  • to elevate the industry's standards;
  • to advance the welfare of the industry.
